Good Old Cruise Liners!

It was nice to see on GMTV this morning, 2000 Brits being saved by a cruise liner, bringing them back to Blighty from Bilbao.
It does make me consider two things though:
1. I wonder how many presentations they will have to sit through on the wonders of a Cruise Holiday.
2. If they only knew a family member or friend with a mobile home in Spain, it would have eased the trouble considerably!
Now comes the fun part of trying to get recompense even when Ryanair and BMI have stated they will not offer customers the costs of accommodation and extra travel even when it is in direct violation of the European Law!
This will rage on for many months to come!

The One Day Visit

Enjoy a One Day Visit To La Posada, Spain
The service works like this. You can book a holiday in the normal way as if you were only going on holiday in Spain. The length of holiday is not important but it has to be with hotel pick ups from Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Nerja due to logistics in planning your visit to the parks and area. After either booking or planning the holiday you can then contact us with the date you have in mind to enjoy the One Day Visit. You can either phone our office (01642 712711) or book via the website from our contact page. There will be a small charge but it does allow for up to 4 people. For people seriously thinking of the possiblilty of moving to Spain and living in a mobile home this is a great way of "doing the homework" as it is only a one day fact finding tour. An enjoyable day out.
The second point with this service is that you can book your One Day Visit well in advance (the sooner the better to secure the date you would like) and the service runs from the beginning of September to the end of June. In July & August the resorts are so busy it is almost impossible to get in and park as well as members of the team being on holiday themselves.

Steps to buying a NEW Mobile Home in Spain

The process of buying a mobile home can be split into 10 steps.
1. Identify the correct park and location through various mediums including photos, literature and a necessary inspection visit to get a first hand experience of being in that environment.
2. During the inspection visit, choosing the plot is the next logical step, making sure the size, angle, position and even the direction of the sun from morning to night is in the right place. Once chosen, a deposit of 500 Euros is then required to reserve the plot in your name.
3. Upon returning to the UK, you would identify the mobile home(s) you are considering from the brochures you have been given.
4. Carefree Lifestyle would then spend time with you covering all the factors necessary including the pro’s and con’s on certain models with regards to floor plans, storage facilities etc. to allow you to make an informed decision.
5. It is essential to view the various models to enable you to thoroughly explore the mobile home and arrive at the right decision. This can be done independently at a local UK dealer or by appointment with Carefree Lifestyle at tradeshows, exhibitions or at the manufacturer directly.
6. We now re‐confirm everything with you to make sure that every aspect is feasible as discussed in steps 2, 3 and 4.
7. We then create the purchase order for the mobile home and you will be asked to read it thoroughly, ask any questions you need to and when you are happy, you will sign and confirm the mobile home is to be put into production. You will then be required to pay a 10% deposit at the time of placing the order which will be followed up by a further 15% 4 weeks later and the final sum is paid 2 weeks before the mobile is due to leave the factory.
8. During the purchase order stage, the park owner is contacted and work begins on your plot to ensure that everything will be ready for the agreed arrival date of the home.
9. Carefree will then work alongside the mobile home manufacturer from the initial confirmation of the mobile home with the sales team, through the planning stage, production and finally we perform a PDI check (Pre Delivery Inspection is a full day examining the mobile home to confirm it has been built to the correct standards and quality has been maintained through it’s production. The home is checked for faults and if anything is found, it will be rectified immediately and only when our team is satisfied with the mobile home, will it be allowed to leave the factory) before it is transported out to the park of your choice.

Developments at Mollina
On the 5th April we endured temperatures of 26 degrees in the shade (it's a hard life sometimes!) and paid a quick visit to Saydo Park at Mollina as we happened to be in the area. The good news is that the whole bar, restaurant and hotel are being refurbished and the bar and restaurant re-quipped. Walls have been removed, floor tiles scrubbed and a light cream paint applied, giving the area a bright, open feel whilst retaining the traditional Spanish wall tiling. The kitchen area will be semi-open and the huge wood-fired, stone-floored bread oven revealed to customers. The restaurant will be serving a mix of English and traditional Spanish dishes when it re-opens. The inner courtyard of the hotel is also being given a new lease of life, providing a beautiful atmosphere for dining or relaxing with a refreshing drink. The pools have been drained for a thorough cleaning and the indoor pool walls repainted. The work on the hotel is scheduled for completion at the end of April 2008. Developments at Mollina
On the 5th April we endured temperatures of 26 degrees in the shade (it's a hard life sometimes!) and paid a quick visit to Saydo Park at Mollina as we happened to be in the area. The good news is that the whole bar, restaurant and hotel are being refurbished and the bar and restaurant re-quipped. Walls have been removed, floor tiles scrubbed and a light cream paint applied, giving the area a bright, open feel whilst retaining the traditional Spanish wall tiling. The kitchen area will be semi-open and the huge wood-fired, stone-floored bread oven revealed to customers. The restaurant will be serving a mix of English and traditional Spanish dishes when it re-opens. The inner courtyard of the hotel is also being given a new lease of life, providing a beautiful atmosphere for dining or relaxing with a refreshing drink. The pools have been drained for a thorough cleaning and the indoor pool walls repainted. The work on the hotel is scheduled for completion at the end of April 2008.
